To Achieve Growth, One Sometimes Need Only Measure.
Interesting thought. Again I rave about the whole blogging thing.
As a person who owns physical businesses as well as Internet Based Business, I’m able to make some interesting comparisons.
Previously, I’ve commented on exponential growth potential for Web-based business, and given some quick figures for how much this particular site makes me.
Currently, this one website makes me around US$500 per week. Or in Kiwi terms, the average wage for doing ’stuff-all’.
What surprises me, is:
Not the dollar value, but the rate at which it grew to this level.
Equally I’m intrigued to see where it will go if current rates are maintained.
For once, I’ll stop talking about money, and look at the traffic levels I’ve had (and the increases per month) to get this revenue.
The above picture shows the unique vistors to this website from Jan 07 to Dec. 07.
The numbers are not really important, but the increase are!
From 5,000 to 70,000+ in 11 months is outstanding.
In percentage terms this sort of growth on an ongoing basis is almost unheard of - but not on the net!
It is this reason that I’m interested in Web-based businesses. I only wish I could have this type of growth in my physical businesses.
