James Brown died early Monday (25th December) morning as a result of heart failure at a hospital in Atlanta , Georgia. Brown was seventy three years old.

Brown was hospitalised on Sunday as he was suffering from a severe pneumonia. His close friend, Charles Bobbit was said to have been at his bedside when he passed away in the early hours of the morning.

James Brown was in the music industry for fifty years and was known as the hardest working man in hollywood. He has inspired many artists over generations - including Michael Jackson. He lived up to his name of being the hardest working man in hollywood as he reportedly told his friends from his hospital bed that he would be performing in Times Square on New Years eve.

Brown was famous for hits such as I Get Up I Feel Like Being a Sex Machine, Got You (I Feel Good), and Papa’s Got a Brand New Bag. There were many other hits through his half a centry career in the music indystry.

There are people all over the world mourning the loss of James Brown as he not only inspired people in the music industry but his music reached out to people all over the world. He will be missed by everyone, and will always be known as the “Godfather and legend of soul”.
