Update - Bali 9 Prosecutors Call For Death Penalty For Leaders Of Bali 9
Prosecutors in the Bali 9 case have demanded the death penalty for Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran.
The alleged “mastermind” Andrew Chan smiled as the Death Sentence known as “hukuman mati” was passed on him.
A court-appointed translator asked Chan if he understood what that meant.
“Yes” he sad smiling, “the death sentence. No problem.”
Andrew Chan is showing some serious composure, and has done since they were first caught.
I would guess that he had probably already started to accept the death penalty as an obvious consequence prior to the official call for “hukuman mati”
