Saddam Hussein Trial Update - The Circus Continues
Saddam Hussein stormed out of the courtroom in his latest appearance.
Saddam’s exit was apperently caused by Judge Raouf Rasheed Abdel-Rahman expelling defendant Barzan Hassan, and a defense attorney in an attempt to keep order in the court room.
Hassan was ejected for referring to the new Iraqi court as the “daughter of a whore.”
I’d like to know how a man on serious charges of war crimes, is simply allowed to “storm out of the courtroom”.
This latest stunt is really just Husseins protest in regard to the legitimacy of the new Iraq regime and court system.
The time being taken to sort this “issue” out leads me to believe strongly that the Yanks should have dealt with Mr. Hussein their own way.
