First snow in 63 years for Kathmandu
For the first time in 63 years snow fell in Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu on Wednesday. This of course, stirred excitement among the residence of the city- adults and children alike.
Many residence had nenver seen it snow in Kathmandu before, and were playing with the snow with eachother. The snowfall only lasted a few minutes, and weather officials have said it is a result of a “westerly disturbance” over Nepal that had caused heavy rain earlier in the week.
The Snow disrupted flights in several outlying areas of the country, by Kathmandu airport was functioning as normal.
