Man Holds Up Two Banks in 20 Minutes

A man held up two banks in Wellington yesterday, within twenty minutes of eachother, and police are still looking for him.

The man first robbed the Post shop in the corner of Manners and Victoria streets at 3.45pm. He handed a note to the teller demanding cash.

He visited the National Bank twenty minutes later on the corner of Featherston and Grey Streets. This time he wrote a note while standing at the counter demanding cash from the teller. POlice said a small amount of money was taken from the robberies.
