Segregated Prom in Turner County High School Rural Georgia, Only Just Stopped?

I found this story hard to believe in a way.  This is from Turner County High School in rural Ashburn Georgia, 160 miles south of Atlana, where Black and white students attended the prom together for the first time on Saturday.

In previous years, parents had organized private, segregated dances for students of the school …

Hard to believe that parts of America are still getting to grip with the whole racial equality thing.

Check out the CNN story here.
