Companies Office to Triple The Cost of Incorporating a Company
I had to re-read that one when I first saw it…. The NZ Companies Office is set to triple the cost of registering a company in New Zealand.
This will bring the cost of a company formation to NZ $150. To be fair to the Companies Office, the price has remained unchanged for many years AND is starting to more reflect the Australian costs of around AS $600.
Some will view this as “another screw” on small businesses in NZ, particularly after the minimum wage changes of around 10%.
Could it really be said that it looks like the New Zealand Government is deliberately making things hard for small business in New Zealand?
