Ha-ha would i write about it if I wasn’t correct? In a previous article here, (at the bottom of the article) I made a small prediction for Trading the New Zealand Dollar against the USD.

On Sunday (29/4/07 NZ time, whilst the markets were closed), I predicted a short term drop in the Kiwi dollar, and therefore placed an order of short-sell NZD vs USD.

At the time the NZ Dollar was 74.143 against the US Dollar.

As of right now ( 30/4/2007, 5.50pm NZ time), the New Zealand dollar against the USD is trading at 73.913.

That is A PROFIT of 23 PIPS in 24 hours. - Or for me, 6% on my money overnight.

Will I close the option? Probable not just yet, I rekon I can squeeze it to 29 -30 Pips, meaning my return could be in the region of 10%.….double digits……..

The beauty about these two currencies, lately is that they have largely predictable.

A globally weakening US dollar (the reason is a whole other article), and an appreciating kiwi dollar, (In both terms I speak generally over a longer period 12 -48 + months) have made this fantastic Forex conditions.
