NZ: Hamilton Police Officer Stabbed Four Times
A Hamilton Police Officer was stabbed four times on Wednesday Night, prompting a man hunt throughout the region.
Thankfully, the stabbed officer is recovering and in a stable condition in Waikato Hospital.
Later, a police spokesman said: “A 31-year-old male was arrested at 9am this morning after a man hunt which lasted throughout the night.
The armed offenders squad surrounded a house in Melville and the alleged offender was arrested without incident.”
OK, so it look s as though the cops have got this guy - great. What we now need is a justice system that would see this scumbag rot in prison.
Of course, it may not have happened if the officer had been issued with a safety vest - like he should have!
It may also be fair to suggest this Police Officer would not currently be in hospital, if he’d had a firearm on his hip.
Once upon a time, when New Zealand was a really great place, the uniform of a Police Officer was enough of an enforcement measure.
Let’s give our cops firearms and the ability to “deal” with criminals so they get some respect for a change.
