Dog Owners Trying to Be Green With Dog Poo
It never ceases to amaze at the sometimes blind stupidity displayed by the public in regard to walking their dogs on local beaches.
Ok, so the local coucils say you must clean up after your dog on the beach, which is fine.
No-one wants the beach to become full of doggy-doo landmines everywhere .
What amazes me is this: After the dog has layed the little landmine, the owner picks it up (ok, so far), but picks it up with a plastic bag.
The most biodegradable of substances is now trapped in a plastic bag that takes (by conservative estimates) hundreds years to break down.
Of course the material inside will be long gone, however the irony infuriates me.
Why doesn’t someone invent bio-degradable paper doggy-doo bags?
