The Credit Card Coffee Culture

  The Credit Card Coffee Culture

Auckland, The Coffee Culture and Cash

Something I’ve noticed recently is that people seem to be putting every little thing on plastic, including cups of coffee!

This capitalist society we live in has a twist.  Capitalism actually produces something, whereas the society we now live in does nothing but consume.

Shopping is the new religion, and credit cards are God.

If you’re a cafe frequent, next time you’re sitting at your local pay some attention to the methods people use to pay for their coffee.

Last time I was sitting in a cafe I counted 9 out of 10 people paying on plastic.

What has happened to cash, and doesn’t anyone have cash anymore?

Is this a result of increased consumerism to the point where most are living on revolving credit?
