Pakistan in Turmoil… Why the Sudden Veer Away From Democracy?
President Pervez Musharraf seems to have stopped the country’s transition to a democratic Government dead in its tracks.
Musharraf’s suspension of the constitution, ousting of top judge, and media blanket seems to me to be more of a martial law, rather than the “state of emergency” Musharraf declares.
The US should have looked a little more closely at the 10 Billion dollars in “Aid” given to Pakistan in the last 5 years…. Bet ya some of that has gone into strenthening their Indian conflict.
