New Zealanders and The Kiwi Language
New Zealanders have long been known for their adpation of the Queens english.
Due to New Zealand’s geographic location as a couple of tiny islands at the bottom of the world, Kiwi’s have been so removed from the rest of the world that a new breed of sloppy english has evolved.
This english-gibrish language hybrid has become such a novelty that the rest of world (Including Anthony Hopkins, whose performance in the Movie The World’s Fastest Indian was fantasic -except for the Kiwi accent) wants to learn it.
Hence as a Kiwi I will lend my services occasionaly and pick a few common words and teach you how to pronounce them in “kiwi”. If only Anthony Hopkins had called me prior to his latest movie….
The Words for this week will be:
Word 1.
Milk
Kiwis, not content with the simple pronunciation of this word have made it more complicated by dropping the pronunciation of the “L”
Therefore the only way to describe how a kiwi would say this word would be:
“Miwque”
Word 2.
Tuesday
Again, one must keep in mind the sloppy attitude of the average Kiwi, Tuesday is pronounced simply by replacing “T” with “choo” (as in train), thus becoming
“Choosday”
More stunning revelations to come on perfecting the Kiwi language.
