Comedian Richard Pryor Has Died
Comic genius, and inspiration for comedians worldwide, Richard Pryor has died this Saturday from a heart attack.
Pryor, no stranger to illness had also been suffering from multiple sclerosis for almost 20 years.
Richard Pyor has appeared in many movies ( I loved his part with Gene Wilder in See No Evil, Hear No Evil), but it was his stand up comedy act in the 70’s and 80’s that got him worldwide recognition.
In Pryors 1977 stand up act the Richard Pryor Show, nothing was sacred. From racism to drug taking, Pryor found a line to captivate and entertain any audience with his unique brand of Pryor humor.
Racism was a major act focus for Pryor, and in the late sixties came out with a risque titled album “That Nigger’s Crazy”.
Richard Pryor is without doubt, one of the top comedians of this century, and his standup comedy acts were classic even before his death.
Only Richard Pryor would have a tribute DVD called ” I ain’t dead yet motherf@ck%r!”.
Admittedly a little out of date now, but a hilarious watch nonetheless.
