Latest Riots in Cronulla Sydney Seem To Have Calmed A Little, Or Have They?

Riots in Sydney are nothing new, and a riot with “racism” as a focus already happened in Redfern, Sydney less than two years ago.

Wikipedia lists a riot at an Austrlain cricket game as early as 1879

Of course the Redfern Riots were essentially an Aborigine / Police conflict, whereas this latest riot is to put it bluntly, between the middle eastern and white youth cultures.

What is interesting is that media reports coming from the area, state that the reason for the riot is most likely the bashing of two Cronulla lifeguards, reportedly by assailants of middle eastern appearance.

Further to this, claims that media reports of a “racial bashing” have also led to the violence witnessed by the world on Cronulla beach.

Question: Is this an accurate appraisal of the real reason for this latest riot?

Answer: Of course not, don’t be stupid!

This riot, (and to a lesser degree, the Redfern riot) points to an underlying issue with racial tensions within Australia. This same issue is mirrored in similar countires like New Zealand, and the UK.

To use the term ‘race relations’ is a cop-out, and is a pledge of support for the worst kind of political correctness.

What we are seeing in Australia with these latest riots, is overwhelming evidence that multiculturalism is not working. (The riots in France earlier in November this year are another example of this)

Multiculturalism, or the act of allowing a completely alien sub-culture to settle within an existing community is failing miserably for all parties concerned.

The politically correct proponents of multiculturalism have forgotten one tiny important aspect…

People are different. With differing views on education, religion, government, politics, law and order and raising children.

Even worse, as the negative effects of multiculturalism have surfaced, governments have begun to legislate to protect the rights of the minority groups, and their views in order o achieve “equality”.

However, the inevitable result of such legislation only further polarises the groups and causes discontent among the majority group.

Hate-speech legislation in Britain is a good example, as is the idea in America that the term “Christmas Tree” be replaced with “holiday tree” so as not to offend non-christian groups.

Government, in keeping with the policitcally correct left have allowed immigrant communities to settle without any request that these immigrant communites to adopt the nature and culture of their new home.

I’m of the opinion that if I were to move to a country with completly different values than the values I hold, I would no doubt have to accept, understand or even adopt the ways of my new homeland.

For example, if I were to move to Iraq I’m not sure I would be comfortable with my wife wearing a bikini.
Why? how many Bikini’s do you see women wearing in Iraq?

The violence in Sydney whilst seemingly directed at race, is a really the result of the growing public discontent in governments (both local and central) “band-aid” approach to fixing the problems created by multiculturalism.

Leaders around the World need to take notice of this latest discontent, and view it as a serious warning sign. These issues, if not addressed will become more common.
