George Bush Says the Bugging Of Communications Is Critical to Saving American Lives.
Bush has admitted secret communications monitoring since September 11 2001
but qualified the statement by adding that is was “a vital tool in the war against terror”.
Congress now want to know more about this “monitoring” and if it violates civil liberties.
