Pictures From Lake Taupo New Zealand. The Place to catch Rainbow Trout!
The above picture was taken from the southern end of Lake Taupo, looking south towards Mount Ruapehu.

Lake Taupo, is so peaceful, even this time of the year. Particularly if you can escape onto the lake in a boat.
Look at this crowded beach! Hard to beleive, but this shot was taken Dec 15. I guess the crowds are yet to show.
Some photos of what some would consider the ultimate kiwi retreat… A Caravan (with attached shanty) parked on a hill in front of some of the most beautiful scenery in the world:
The picture below is looking toward the western bays of lake taupo. This spot would be great to build a house. The plants in the foreground are naturally occurring raspberries and boysenberries! Yum.
