Is There Really A Cold Cyber-War Going On?
There seems to be ongoing evidence that many countries are currently assessing the threats and damages caused by potential cyber-assaults.
In a report last Month, Mcafee (An Internet Security firm) said:
As many as 120 countries are “developing ways to use the internet as a weapon to target financial markets, government computer systems and utilities.
China is said to be responsible for an attck on the US Military NIPRNet, a US military network which is open to the internet and used for the transmission of non-classified documents.
Officials say that massive amount of data loss occured as a result, however Chian have denied any involvement.
Obviously espionage is no longer confined to James Bond type stuff, but rather is a developing war being waged from computers all over the world.
