Film-maker Oliver Stone To Rescue Hostages From Columbia
Oliver Stone joined six other rescuers in Columbia, and is expected to fly by helicopter as early as Sunday into the country’s eastern jungles.
This is not a movie, you understand. He’s actually going to Columbia to rescue some real-life hostages!
Despite the obvious dangers in a region known for kidnapping and murders,
Stone and the others will meet with the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) am organisation condered Terrorists by the US Government.
The rescue team will collect the captives: former congresswoman Consuelo Gonzalez, Clara Rojas and her young son Emmanuel, who was fathered by one of her guerrilla captors.
It all sounds a bit bizzare, doesn’t it?
